Loved everything about our stay. The room was clean, the location was great and the communal facilities were excellent. Everything had been thought of with so many little touches that meant so much - handy sandwich boxes, food bags, foil etc. We were pleasantly surprised to receive extra coffee pods and fresh towels part way through our stay.

It was warm and had a kitchen that was perfectly adequate to cook a meal. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. There were two bathrobes as well as towels. It was quiet and with parking right outside. The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

Situated 37 km from Stykkishólmur, Drangar Country Guesthouse is located on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and features a shared lounge. We liked everything from Drangar. I highly recommend a stay in there, so do not hesitate if you’re visiting the area, it’s well worth it! The hosts, Leana and Knútur were very helpful and gave us some tips about the best parts to visit, even before we got there. They made us feel like it was really our home, too, and I wish it was, as the architecture of the buildings is beautiful and no wonder that it’s won a prize in that field, precisely! The surroundings of the place make a perfect stay for you to enjoy this part of Iceland. In addition, we came with our almost 1-year-old child and they provided us with all the necessary things for him!! :)) He was compleltely covered. Each detail is thouroughly taken into account and I’d definetely come back if I’m in Iceland again.

Great location (right next to a Bonus), beds and linens were incredibly comfortable, and the bedrooms, bathrooms, and common spaces were always very clean. Monika is an exceptionally kind and thoughtful host; she made our stay that much better. There were jars of granola, cereal, and spreads to have in the morning which would accompany the bread we bought from the Bonus next door and the milk in the fridge. There were also plenty of coffee pods and tea bags to enjoy. The common space was very comfortable to work from and there was strong wifi in the house. Bedrooms were a comfortable size and the comforter's warmth is unmatched. There is parking outside and the house is walking distance from stores, restaurants, and the lighthouse. Gas stations are also within a 2-3 minute drive. Overall, we had a great stay and we can't wait to come back! The Guesthouse has everything you will need for a comfortable stay and good night's sleep.

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. One of the most beautiful rooms we have stayed in with a breath taking view! Check in instructions were very easy

Located on a family owned sheep farm, Saudafell Guesthouse offers accommodation in Sauðafell. Free WiFi and free private parking are available on site. The house was warm and inviting and cozy. The owners were lovely to chat with during breakfast and answered many of my questions about Iceland.
