I was in Takamatsu for the Setouchi Trienniale, and Wakamiya san was so friendly and sincere, giving me lots of useful tips that can’t be found online and even suggested many ways I can maximise my time there. You can really tell that he is passionate in what he do, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The rooms were also superbly clean and comfortable, and fresh towels were provided every day. Can’t recommend this guesthouse enough, and I’m looking forward to staying here again on my next trip to Takamatsu!

The location was conveniently near a grocery store, a beach, and a train station. I personally loved the decor, and the kitchen/common area was well set up with utensils for cooking, eating, a few games, and local sightseeing info.

The owners are the most wonderful people you'll ever meet, a kind older couple who live across the street from the building and speak perfect English. We often chatted and they let us use the bikes as often as we wanted. They will happily answer any question and sent us information in advance about how to access the hotel from Takamatsu station.. The room is really lovely, with a cool tatami room and kitchen, and traditional futon beds. The location is really peaceful and easy to access public transport. Just bear in mind that there is no lift, but the building is only 3 floors so it's only minimal stairs. All in all, I highly recommend this place, you will absolutely not regret it!
