Other worldly - I absolutely loved the style of this place!! It was like being inside a fairly tale, it sparked my kid's imagination and it suited us perfectly. The host was also extremely helpful and kind.

Situated in Yakushima and only 700 metres from Isso Beach, 屋久杉楼 七福 features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Very cozy atmosphere. The owner has an excellent taste for interior design. Everywhere there is beautiful art in combination with traditional Japanese style country house. Just beautiful.

Yakushima Park Guesthouse er staðsett í Yakushima, í innan við 10 km fjarlægð frá Shiratani Unsuikyo og 23 km frá Miyanoura-fjalli. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic Hidekazu-san was as a host. He was invaluable in offering tips and suggestions for my 2 night stay on Yakushima island. The location was quite centrally as well in the Miyanoura town area. This guesthouse is a renovated standard Japanese home but it had all the amenities that one could hope for. My shoes were completely soaked from hiking Yakushima but staff there helped me dry out overnight.

Situated in Yakushima, 12 km from Shiratani Unsuikyo, 屋久の宿 たぐち features rooms with air conditioning. My room was spacious. The shared spaces are clean and well kept. The location is quiet as it is off the main road, but within walking distance to bus station and a grocery store. The owners are very friendly and offered helpful suggestions for my itinerary. I enjoyed the breakfast and dinner and strongly recommend for those looking for traditional Japanese cooking and a taste of local dishes.

Our hosts were wonderful and helped us with all our enquiries and communications, and were sincere in ensuring we had a lovely time on Amami.

Guesthouse Coco Garage er gististaður í Kirishima, 5,8 km frá Kirishima Jingu-helgiskríninu og 19 km frá Ebino-hásléttunni. Þaðan er útsýni yfir innri húsgarðinn. Great spot close to the national park with an amazing owner. We really enjoyed our stay and it was very comfortable as a group of 3. The property is very secluded and quiet while still offering a full set of facilities and plenty of space. The location is not only scenic but allows for easy access to the amazing national park. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this guesthouse!

The atmosphere is friendly, nee-san is the most amazing host, and will help everyone plan their travels around yakushima. There's a kitchen to prepare food yourself and I highly recommend nee-san's onigiri for a day out! I love this place and will return there once I can. Stayed at 20+ guesthouses, this one is exceptional.

39guest house er staðsett í Ibusuki, í innan við 46 km fjarlægð frá Kagoshima Chuo-stöðinni og 47 km frá Kagoshima-stöðinni. Very comfortable place with an awesome host in a quiet area. A free bicycle made everything in Ibusuki close and the host gave me a ride when I needed one. The stay made me feel at home and would be spacious enough for a full house. I extended my stay 2 times and keep this place in mind as one of the most heartwarming. The interior, kitchen utensils and washing machine were also very useful. Thank you so much for having me :) I had a great time!
