We were welcomed by the very friendly manager who showed us the place and our rooms, Very charming and historical old, yet refurbished, farmhouse overlooking the village and valley. We had access to a huge kitchen with everything needed to store food and prepare meals. If you cant be bothered to make your own meals its less than 5 minutes walk down to the Skjolden Hotel which has an amazing restaurant. Would absolutely recommend Eide Gaard.

From April to mid-October, Vangsgaarden Gastropub serves meals and drinks in a cosy atmosphere. A buffet breakfast is offered every day at Aabelheim, the oldest building on the site. Everything is splendid, it is by the Aurland kai. Very nice staffs. Stunning view and very peaceful.

Really enjoyed staying here. The staff give you a tour of the house which is well worth it. House belonged to William Singer who is an American painter and a lot of his work and collections are well preserved throughout the house. The house as a certain charm that is just unmatched. My sister and I loved staying here. Would highly recommend anyone staying here.
