WiFi was good (important near the mountains). Refrigerator, aircon, fan, strong hot water. Everything clean. Location is an easy fifteen-minute walk from the main street in Phu Kradueng town, where there is a big line-up of sit-down open-air food places, a 7-Eleven, other stores, and an excellent coffee shop (บ้านเค้ก กาแฟสด) that makes really good cakes on the premises. The staff is not English-speaking. They use Google translate on their phones, but are efficient. They did my laundry, and found me transport. If you are climbing Phu Kradueng mountain, this is a good base. Also, one of the staff ladies gave me some bananas as I left!

I stayed a week to go to the Phi Ta Khon ghost festival, but the resort is also centrally located in Loei, so I could also visit Phu Kradueng. The staff is efficient, making real coffee (not instant), doing laundry, arranging transport, etc. Can't be bettered for a quiet long stay. (The town, Nong Hin, has a food hall, 7-Eleven, bank, pharmacy, and shops.) The mountainous countryside is gorgeous.

Enough shelves and storage space. A quiet neighborhood but with enough places to eat within walking distance, and even more within a short drive.
