Located in Kyoto, 1.1 km from Nijo Castle and 1.7 km from the centre, Rinn Shiki Juraku provides air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. Absolutely loved the character and charm of the hotel, the facilities, the lounge area for breakfast/evening drinks, ease of use of the washer/dryer that was there. The hotel was in a quiet residential section of Kyoto, yet access to Nijo Castle, the Imperial Palace and downtown Kyoto was very easy and within a 15 minute walk. Access to the train stations and Uber/Taxi's were equally easy. Amazing local restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel - highly recommend Daigan around the corner for an amazing sushi with an engaging/entertaining/welcoming chef.

In the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kyoto International Manga Museum, 谷町君・星屋旅館・神泉ノ宿 二条城 has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. The property was spacious and had all the amenities we needed as a family. It was clean and tidy and secure. The staff cleaning and looking after the property were friendly and very helpful. We had a problem with the AC and they sorted it out immediately.

In the Ukyo Ward district of Shimo saga, close to Arashiama Bamboo Grove, 谷町君・星屋・談山旅館 京都嵐山 has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. This was a very traditional style Japanese house and we loved it. We had plenty of space for 6 of us, and the location was quiet. Plenty of small marts nearby, and a delicious noodle restaurant down the street. The room offered a waher/dryer, which was great. We were able to drop off our luggage early, while we explored Kyoto before check-in.

In the Minami Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kyoto Station, Kyoto Villa Kotone has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. Guests staying at this holiday home have access to a balcony. The house was spacious but had a cozy feeling so it felt really comfortable to be in. Also the floor layout had a good balance of features from older houses and modern ones.

As advertised. Lovely home in quaint residential laneway, close to great restaurants and convenient for public transport.

In the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Campton Kiyomizu Vacation Rental has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. Very convenient location, right next to the Kyoto Tower. Our bedroom window was facing it! The hotel was delightful to say the least, all the amenities were lovely and it was clean:) The receptionist was also extremely helpful!

Kyoisuke offers accommodation within 700 metres of the centre of Kyoto, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave. Centrally located and quiet. Your own home down a peaceful little street.

BenTen Residences offer a Japanese machiya accommodation in the heart of Higashiyama, Kyoto. Yasaka Shrine is 7 minutes on foot, while Kiyomizu Temple is a 14-minute stroll. Traditional modern cozy house with warm floor! Beds are comfortable. Cooking utensils are all provided! Hospitality is great! Walking distance to Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka! Close to convenient stores. Friendly neighbor who gave us sweets! Everthing was great!

Situated in Kyoto, 500 metres from Kyoto International Manga Museum,Kyoto Machiya Fukune is an accommodation with a garden. The accommodation has a hot tub. Friendly host, great onsen bath, excellent breakfast and great location.

Open from May 2017, Mulan Hostel is situated in Arashiyama, a 2-minute walk from Arashiyama Station. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The property features a shared bathroom. This is the best hostel experience that I had in Japan (I switched several hostels because of my long stay), then I realized the people who run the hostel are nice because they are Chinese people, not Japanese. I always had nice experiences with Chinese people everywhere I go. Unlike Japanese hosts who are super mean and cold to me, the staff at Mulan were very kind, accommodating and caring towards me. I can’t stress this enough because the day I stayed in Mulan was the only time that I could feel a human connection from people with a heart rather than cold hearted robotic Japanese people.
