Tama

For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. I fell in love with this house. It was incredible. Everything I imagined a traditional Japanese style home to be. Plenty of space. A calming aesthetic. Quality home. A lot of outdoor space which must be wonderful in good weather. Plenty of heating. Plenty of blankets. Pyjamas supplied. I wish I could live there - that’s how beautiful it is. I am so grateful for the chance to stay here. Good value for the space. Also, I have to thank the hosts for being so kind, warm and friendly in their communication and for being so generous and helpful. This would be an ideal base for exploring Naoshima. I walked to Uno Port in 30 mins, but without backpack it could be quicker. Probably there is a bus but I didn’t look. It felt so nice staying in a town not routinely visited by tourists. After the crowds of Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka etc this was a welcome respite and a chance to slow down and see a small town, real life.

The house is amazing! It is a completely modernized old store house ("kura") with excellent facilities and comfortable sleeping. The kitchen, bath and living room downstairs are pristine and the downstairs bedroom is very comfortable. The upstairs tatami room is huge and the smell of the new tatami is wonderful. My daughter's family slept very comfortably on futon in that room. The tableware in the kitchen comes from the related ceramic gallery and is beautiful and functional. They even serve fresh fruit, croissants and rolls with butter and jam for breakfast. We appreciated everything about the house!

Lovely hotel. Great location. Very clean and friendly staff.
All the location, space, light, equipments are great. it’s very clean and smells great, beds also great.
Really comfortable rooms, very clean and we really appreciated the towel and yukata left in the room to get changed into for the price. The location was also very convenient for those travelling to Naoshima which is why we were staying there. We also really loved the paper with pictures of food spots, activities and key information around the area, we definitely used it to navigate our stay.
We loved the blinds. Didn't realise the sun was already up because the blinds blocked out every little inch! Rooms very clean and comfortable. The extra pillows one could choose from (many options ranging between soft to hard) was an added bonus.
Very charming traditional house! I stayed 2 nights in the female dorm which was so cozy, quiet and confortable. The corridors reminded me of the ones in Spirited Away film! The staff was so friendly! Lot of space, very clean, this is a peaceful place where I could have stayed longer ! I warmly recommend this place !
very clean
Very nice hotel. Spacious room and very clean. Staff was able to speak fluent English. Not to far from the train station
Breakfast was in the small cafe in the hotel. The variety of items to choose from was plentiful, then the chef brought out plates with traditional Japanese fare. The location of the hotel made it easy to walk around to see local sights. Parking onsite was easy. The room was very clean, everything looked brand new.
