We walked to the nearby town of Vianden and visited the castle, and we also walked across the nearby bridge to Germany and hiked to a castle on that side of the river. It was beautiful and peaceful!

As soon as Glen stepped out of his car and greeted us (including our dog), we knew that the weekend couldn't go wrong! He gave us a guided tour inside the cozy cottage, literally in the middle of forest, yet still close enough to the village down the hill. We ordered some BBQ-ready food from Glen and oh, it was so delicious! The deck is covered, so you can BBQ even when it rains. The cottage is decorated with a lot of personal touch and it makes it very homy. In the morning, we could see squirrels and birds out of the windows. We are already planning to come back in the summertime!

Our house was clean and the facilities in the house were good. We went for a motorcycle trip and this house is a great place to stay overnight. The cost are oke and not expensive. Please note that electricity must be payed afterwards. There is a bakery not very far from the house which is really convenient.
