Country houses Lomba D'Água, is located in the parish of Candelária, south coast of the island of S. Miguel, 14 km from the city of Ponta Delgada. It consists of 4 independent units classified by the Regional Government of the Azores as units for Rural Tourism, in the form of country houses, maintaining the traditional architecture of this area of the island of s. Miguel, but with the comfort of modern housing. The name of each house corresponds to the ancestors who lived there a few decades ago and the decoration dates back to those times, showing some utensils used by them and a little of the history of that time. All units are properly equipped, each one properly identified. I had such a lovely time here. I enjoyed it so much, instead of adventuring out as soon as I woke up, I actually spent time at the apartment, enjoying the garden, the view of the ocean, and jacuzzi, right from the property. The owner met me to check me in. I love when people do quality work and from speaking to him, I could tell how much effort and pride he put into his projects. The owner is expanding and opening another space right across from this stay. My rental car was safely parked. I had access to a very clean laundry space, with a drying rack and also with detergent provided. The jacuzzi was incredible as well. The bathroom in the apartment is huge and I loved having so much space. I appreciated the small touches, like the chocolate on the pillows and the bath robes. Fresh bread is provided every day and you also arrive to a kitchen full of goodies, like local cheeses, pineapple, coffee, local jam, beer, wine. I am so happy I booked my stay here rather than in Sete Cidades.

Very close to ponta delgada center (5-10 Min with car/scooter). There Is a supermarket 10 Min far by feet. Highly reccomended.

Guests can relax on the sofa while enjoying the warmth of the fireplace and the views of the natural landscape. My boyfriend and I stayed for 8 nights. The host, Andre is very attentive, kind, and communicative. A welcome basket was very generous, that included fruits, wine, bread, local cheese and so on. I can't say that everything was perfect, but it was a kind of accommodation that I felt very comfortable like it's my home, which is more important than the appearance of the place. I enjoyed the solitude of the place far away from busy city. Quiet and peace. That was what I was hoping during my vacation. My favorite memory is an ambiance created by the warmth and smoky smell from the fireplace when there were rain and fog.
