Situated in Tarouca, 13 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary and 22 km from Douro Museum, Quinta do Lameiro offers a garden and air conditioning. This was my second time at Quinta do Lameiro, so I already knew what to expect. However, the last time there was no pool in the Bungalows area. Now that there is, it's an advantage. Two pools with different depths. Terrific addition!

Located in the centre of the village of Juizo, Casas do Juizo - Country Houses is a rural tourism complex of 8 rustic houses. I think this is the perfect place to stay and travel around the central part of Portugal, visiting small towns and castles. I am talking about Penedono, Meda, Trancoso, Pinchel, Almeida and many other places of interest. This place, Casas do Juizo, is very clean and well maintained. The room is modern in within "medieval" walls and has everything you need for living and cooking. The host, Monica, is very nice and friendly, she speaks very good English and we had no problems communicating. Was offered a very tasty welcome drink and some Easter bread and cheese during our stay, this was Easter time. The village itself is a very calm and quiet place to relax. I would like to recommend Casas do Juizo for all local travelers and foreigners traveling in Portugal.

Located in Marialva, Chalês - Maria Alva provides accommodation with private pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. A first class property tucked into a charming little village. It more than met my expectations. Just out the gate you are surrounded by history. Inside it is spotless, comfortable and stocked with all one needs. My hosts were attentive to my presence which added to the experience.

Located in Castelo de Paiva, 45 km from Santa Maria da Feira Castle and 48 km from D. Luis I Bridge, Estúdio de Amor offers an outdoor swimming pool and air conditioning. Location was great, if you have a car. A few short miles from the Douro river and less than an hour from Porto. Host was superb. Very friendly and helpful. Made a fire for us.

Set within 32 km of Douro Museum and 32 km of Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, Vald'arêgos - Douro features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Resende. A perfect getaway! Great pool and super hosts! Apartment was perfect for our needs. Would love to return!

Offering a terrace, Lambisco- Alojamento local features accommodation in Alfândega da Fé. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 42 km from Mirandela Medieval Bridge. Very spacious home recently refurbished within a nice kitchen with the basic amenities needed to cook a meal. The bedroom has a nice balcony with a great view.
