What a great first night in Chile! I was welcomed with such warmth. My room was quiet, bed was comfy, bathroom was down the hall, lots of hot water. Breakfast was just what I needed. Location was on a quiet street within walking distance on the waterfront and downtown.

Fabian was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Although he doesn't speak much English he sent a list by WhatsApp of recommended restaurants, places of interest, etc And used Google translate frequently. Large comfortable warm room with clean ensuite. Lots of extra toiletries, hair-dryer etc. It is an easy 20 min downhill walk to the town center. And Fabien was only too willing to come and give us a lift (ride) back after dinner. Enjoyed our moments of 80's in-car karaoke!

The hosts are wonderful, as is their hostel! Very nice people indeed. I felt like visiting my grandmother when I was a child. And her rhubarb jam was delicious! The best quality you can get for this money. I wish I could have stayed more time, especially that Punta Arenas happened to be a lovely city.
