The best thing about this property is that it is away from the city noise and pollution. Set in beautiful nature the property offers a very peaceful and quiet atmosphere. What makes your stay here really special is the heart connection you make with the people looking after your needs and wishes. I am touched by the genuine and hearty interaction with Mr. Arun, and his extended family. His brother Krishna cooked beautiful meals for us. Arunji’s father who is in his nineties, was still supervising construction work at the property. He offered us bagfuls of Kiwis from his garden. You also get to eat fresh organic vegetables grown right there on the farm. We came back home with three large squashes from their garden. The property has lots of beautiful trees and many flowering plants and orchids. Our travel needs were mostly met by Mr. Chetan who speaks English. He is a very careful driver and always keeps the comfort of his passengers in mind. His charges are very reasonable and he doesn’t overcharge you even if you are visiting from abroad. He knew that we were visiting from Canada but did not try exploit us. You don’t need to negotiate the price with him but you need to book him in advance since he is very much in demand. Staying here, you kind of become a part of their family.

As I booked the hotel, they responded quickly and send me the location. Hotel at the heart of Darjeeling besides the main road where the vintage train passes by and the view of Queen of hill Darjeeling from the window of our room is breathtaking. All the staff and owner were so humble.They let us know that breakfast was also included in the package and served us delicious breakfast too.

This place is a gem. The room is super cute and cosy, and Shukrit is the best host! He will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. He cooked delicious food (I discovered lots of new food here, yum! ), showed me around town, helped me find things I needed for my trek, organized transport and my next accommodation… and we had lots of great chats along the way. Whatever you need, Shukrit is there for you! And there’s a lot of hot water for showering too, which is always nice. Best value for money. Thanks Shukrit! Highly recommend this place in beautiful Darjeeling!

My family was really happy to stay at norbus homestay. The rooms were really comfortable. The view from my window was mesmerizing. It felt like home away from home.
