The front desk stuff was very friendly and helped us to put luggage into our room. He reminded us that it might rain when we were going out in the afternoon and we borrowed two umbrellas for free. The room 203 has a view of the mountain Fuji from the window. There is a normal light smell of Tatami in the room. There is also a large and clean common space with all kitchen equipments. Highly recommended!

Extraordinary friendly, English-speaking staff. Picked us up at the station when we arrived although our bus was quite late and drove us there again when we left. Everything was clean, the direct view on Mt. Fuji was stunning. I'm not a musician, but seeing all the messages from bands that stayed there was cool to see and I feel like it's a great stay for bands.

Authentic guest house with an excellent host. We got green tea on arrival. and transferred us and our luggage to the train station. He was very nice, even though we were a bit troublesome (complications with arrival time etc.) The view was also beautiful, I hope I can come back for a longer period here.

It was an excellent experience to spend some time in the real Japanese house. It's different a lot from our European or American houses. In the room, which was very specious, there was only a small table and a couple of pillows on which we sit, instead of a bed there a was a matress with a duvet and a pillow. The full floor is covered with "Tatami" which are traditional mats. There are some extendable Japanese screens. The house is made only with wood and has a wonderful atmosphere and smell. Owner of the house was extremely nice and helpful, at the end of my stay he gave me a lift to the train station with no extra fee.

The house was in walking distance to the town centre (main bus station - for tours, Lawson convenience store, restaurants, Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway). All between 3 to 10mins of walking (our kids also enjoyed the daily walks). Being in the middle of the residential area, it was quiet and felt wonderful walking outside and being amongst/seeing the locals.

Our lovely hosts have excellent understanding of travelers needs and wants. We were exhausted when we arrived and they picked us from Kawaguchiko Sta. They also gave us a lift when we checked out. Spring water from mountains running from the kitchen tap was absolutely delicious.
