Overlooking the Valley of the Kings, Scorpion House Luxor features accommodations with a Nubian décor. It offers free Wi-Fi in some rooms and a sun terrace. Amazing location for seeing the tombs and temples. Tayeb is incredibly helpful with all things Egypt not just what’s around Luxor. His hospitality is the best I’ve experienced in all of Egypt. Make sure to have dinner there as it’s the best food I’ve had all trip long. Breakfast is also incredibly filling with a variety of different foods every morning. If you require a driver for anything (I recommend it for sightseeing) ask for Hassan he was a legend. He knew all of the best times to visit places to avoid the crowds and lots of local hidden gems which I would not have found otherwise. The property itself has a pool, small library and many sitting areas. The amount of literature on the surrounding area (half French/half English literature) in the library alone makes the visit worth it. Definitely take an evening or two to read through everything and to pick Tayeb’s brain about the locals tombs. He is a wealth of knowledge. Also on site there is a couple of really well behaved cute pets. The West Bank is quieter than city life on the East but that’s part of the charm. For anyone who is considering going to Luxor I would 10/10 recommend staying here.

Karima House is set in the West bank district of Luxor, 1.8 km from Medinet Habu Temple, 2.7 km from Colossi of Memnon and 2.8 km from Deir el-Medina. It's a lovely, spacious, cozy, friendly place, very clean, comfortable beds and with amazing sunset view. The staff was helpful and friendly. we feld like we were part of the family. I liked the breakfast too - it was very tasty. We had enjoyable time in Karima house!

Featuring mountain views, Desert blue hoste features accommodation with balcony, around 1.2 km from Colossi of Memnon. The property features lake and pool views, and is 2.2 km from Medinet Habu... Everything, the family were so welcoming and lovely, they helped with everything you needed. Took me into town and took me to a wonderful restaurant looking over the valley of the kings ... amazing people The swimming pool was great and very clean, everything was very clean.

Yasmine Guest House is situated in the West bank district of Luxor, 4.9 km from Medinet Habu Temple, 5.3 km from Deir el-Medina and 5.8 km from Valley of the Queens. I stayed at the hotel for four days, and it was a very good stay. The hotel has been newly refurbished, which made it look nice and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, and Nasser, the host, kindly adapted to my vegetarian diet, for which I am grateful. There were days when I needed an early breakfast, and they kindly accommodated that request. Additionally, the room was a decent size and had all the necessities. The location is in the west bank, closer to the countryside, with a few good restaurants and a nearby shop for essentials. However, you can take a quick 5-minute ferry to the East bank, which is livelier. The host checked in regularly to ensure my stay was fine and to answer any questions. They also offered me an airport ride for a small additional charge of ten dollars or pounds sterling. Karim, who works as a guide/driver for the hotel, drove me and guided me through places like the Hastepuy temple, Valley of Kings, Luxor temple, etc. He was welcoming and excellent in his guiding and answering questions. Overall, I felt very welcome, almost as if I had stayed with long-distance relatives. I thank Karim, Nasser, and the rest of the team for making my Luxor trip so memorable.

In the East bank district of Luxor, close to Luxor Train Station, Abeer Guest House features a rooftop pool and a washing machine. All rooms feature a kitchen and a private bathroom. The owners Abeer and Austin by themselves rate a six out of five. Kind, open, helpful and generous are words that come to mind. Being raised in Luxor Abbeer’s perspective is invaluable while Austin being an Irish expat really understands what it takes to navigate this challenging environment. The breakfast really sets you up for the day. And they did a great job of accommodating my dietary restrictions. While basic, the accommodation was clean, spacious and comfortable. The rooftop communal area is a treat.

Situated in Luxor, 4 km from Colossi of Memnon and 5.1 km from Medinet Habu Temple, Hadi Guest House features accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. Had an absolutely amazing stay at Hamdis place. Huge house with extra large rooms. He's an awesome guy to chat with. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated HabuHeritageHomeStayInLuxor provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. With mountain views, this accommodation offers a terrace. Masria and her family were very welcoming and helpful. It was nice to be the only guests and to relax a bit. It was especially nice to be able to have a “meal like home” when we asked. It is the small things that really enhance your experience in new places.
