Overlooking the Valley of the Kings, Scorpion House Luxor features accommodations with a Nubian décor. It offers free Wi-Fi in some rooms and a sun terrace. Amazing location for seeing the tombs and temples. Tayeb is incredibly helpful with all things Egypt not just what’s around Luxor. His hospitality is the best I’ve experienced in all of Egypt. Make sure to have dinner there as it’s the best food I’ve had all trip long. Breakfast is also incredibly filling with a variety of different foods every morning. If you require a driver for anything (I recommend it for sightseeing) ask for Hassan he was a legend. He knew all of the best times to visit places to avoid the crowds and lots of local hidden gems which I would not have found otherwise. The property itself has a pool, small library and many sitting areas. The amount of literature on the surrounding area (half French/half English literature) in the library alone makes the visit worth it. Definitely take an evening or two to read through everything and to pick Tayeb’s brain about the locals tombs. He is a wealth of knowledge. Also on site there is a couple of really well behaved cute pets. The West Bank is quieter than city life on the East but that’s part of the charm. For anyone who is considering going to Luxor I would 10/10 recommend staying here.

Karima House is set in the West bank district of Luxor, 1.8 km from Medinet Habu Temple, 2.7 km from Colossi of Memnon and 2.8 km from Deir el-Medina. It's a lovely, spacious, cozy, friendly place, very clean, comfortable beds and with amazing sunset view. The staff was helpful and friendly. we feld like we were part of the family. I liked the breakfast too - it was very tasty. We had enjoyable time in Karima house!

Peace garden hostel & camp in Luxor provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge. There's much to say in favour of this little oasis of accommodation. It is well run by two extremely welcoming guys and all the staff are so helpful. It's Egyptian hospitality at its best. In the hustle bustle of a busy city this is indeed a peace garden. A lot of care has been taken in furnishing and decorating the whole place. I should also mention that the bed was extremely comfortable and the general atmosphere most relaxing Breakfast is fantastic. An almost endless supply of well prepared and varied food brought to the table with a wide choice of teas and juice. The restaurant prepares great traditional evening meals. It is kept spotlessly clean and proves to be incredible value for money. It was so good that I extended my stay in Luxor. Look no further, if you are lucky enough to find availability here, book it!

Yasmine Guest House is situated in the West bank district of Luxor, 4.9 km from Medinet Habu Temple, 5.3 km from Deir el-Medina and 5.8 km from Valley of the Queens. I stayed at the hotel for four days, and it was a very good stay. The hotel has been newly refurbished, which made it look nice and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, and Nasser, the host, kindly adapted to my vegetarian diet, for which I am grateful. There were days when I needed an early breakfast, and they kindly accommodated that request. Additionally, the room was a decent size and had all the necessities. The location is in the west bank, closer to the countryside, with a few good restaurants and a nearby shop for essentials. However, you can take a quick 5-minute ferry to the East bank, which is livelier. The host checked in regularly to ensure my stay was fine and to answer any questions. They also offered me an airport ride for a small additional charge of ten dollars or pounds sterling. Karim, who works as a guide/driver for the hotel, drove me and guided me through places like the Hastepuy temple, Valley of Kings, Luxor temple, etc. He was welcoming and excellent in his guiding and answering questions. Overall, I felt very welcome, almost as if I had stayed with long-distance relatives. I thank Karim, Nasser, and the rest of the team for making my Luxor trip so memorable.

In the East bank district of Luxor, close to Luxor Train Station, Abeer Guest House features a rooftop pool and a washing machine. All rooms feature a kitchen and a private bathroom. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and housed everything you would hope to need. After our nile cruise and the constant pestering of local taxi drivers, shopkeepers, and restaurant owners, Abeer Guest House gave a sense of normality again. Abeer and Austin are truly wonderful people, giving very helpful information for visiting Luxor's beautiful monuments and tips for surviving the tyrannical heat (e.g. freeze your water bottles). The breakfast was scrumptious, filling, and exactly what you should try when visiting Egypt. It was a relaxing experience, which is what we all want when on holiday.

Situated in Luxor, 4 km from Colossi of Memnon and 5.1 km from Medinet Habu Temple, Hadi Guest House features accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. The location was great and the staff were kind and helpful. It is very clean and the shared bathrooms were kept immaculate. The location on the West Bank is ideal. It is quiet with many good restaurants nearby and super easy access to the East Bank. The owner is exceptionally kind and can help you arrange anything you want to do. He took me on a tour of the West Bank and charged a very fair price and had great recommendations. Breakfast is good and plentiful, if you choose to purchase it. I would stay here again without question.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated HabuHeritageHomeStayInLuxor provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. With mountain views, this accommodation offers a terrace. Masria and her family were very welcoming and helpful. It was nice to be the only guests and to relax a bit. It was especially nice to be able to have a “meal like home” when we asked. It is the small things that really enhance your experience in new places.
