Breakfast was excellent and honestly why we chose Portman Lodge. My husband wanted to experience an English Breakfast. Neal was super helpful and friendly. The room was much nicer, comfortable and more modern than expected.

Fabulous location with a very short walk up to the main Esplanade with plenty of options for meals.

Lovely hearing the water lapping at night and seeing the beach across the road. Vanessa and Simon helpful, upbeat, caring and delightful. Hotel was well appointed with beautiful touches throughout such as a pretty chandelier in the dining room.

The accommodation offers a housekeeping service and private check-in and check-out for guests. The location of the B&B is great! Lovely view when having breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was great, toast and croissants with ham and cheese, fresh eggs and honey and marmalade. Yogurt and cereal was available, too. We explored Lulworth and the coast, which took only 10min to get there by car. Irene and Vince were very hospitable, we had some nice chats with them before we left. Would always come back :)

Our room was at the back and therefore very quiet, a comfortable room with everything we needed for our stay.
