Umesh is a gifted chef and looked after our every need, and the service from Rita was warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. When we come back to Ooty, which God willing, is a given, we will definitely stay at Orchard Valley Homestay, it is delightful.

Immerso nel verde di un bellissimo giardino, spazioso, silenzioso, luminoso, pulitissimo e molto bello... Il personale è stato molto accogliente.

The listing has 11 rooms of which 4 of the rooms are in one building and 7 in another building. The area is lovely, more like staying in a village than a city, 20 odd mins from the airport. We found the locals there friendly and helpful too, Also very near by are shops & cafes, approximately a 2 min walk. The hosts Sam and Latha were fabulous! Helped make our stay a memorable one for sure, taking care of our every need when we needed, helping us with obtaining sim cards! (hard to get in Chennai for foreigners) also booking the train for our onward journey, arranging taxis for around chennai whenever we needed, food delivery, currency exchange, (very good rates) Our room was comfy and quiet, the Homestay is situated in a no through road. If you are flying in from another country and you do book a stay there, my advice is to let Sam & Latha to pre arrange a car pick up as there is no option for foreigners to purchase sim cards at the airport, So you'll have no internet use for using uber cabs etc) so you may (like us) be victims of a fleecing taxi cab guy that operate at the airport, We ended up paying 3 times the going rate. Just arrange things beforehand with Sam & Latha they'll sort things out...I can only give glowing Praise to these 2 people.😍

I booked the stay at Sunvalley for my parents who are both senior citizens. From the very beginning the staff were so friendly and helpful that my friends felt right at home. Going out of their way to ensure that guests feel comfortable is something that comes naturally to the staff at the hotel. Special mention to Mr. Raghav, who personally looked in to the well-being of my parents.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, river view and a terrace, Kuteeram is located in Kumbakonam. A pleasant and cute homestay with good facilities. You will feel more like being at home. You have free access to the kitchen and can get good home cooked food. The rooms have AC and are maintained well. It is also a pet friendly. The place is very good value for money.

Featuring a balcony with garden views, a garden and barbecue facilities, Magizham Homestay can be found in Kodaikānāl, close to Chettiar Park and 2.5 km from Kodaikanal Bus Stand. Nice atmosphere and clean rooms. Food was homely and tasty
