It was very close to the canal and all the shops there. Despite that, the homestay was still on a quiet street. The cats were super cute too. The beds were super comfortable and there is a fridge and water dispenser right outside the room.

A couple of very nice bosses from Shanghai China, gave us a lot of advices about how to travel in Otaru and good restaurants. I think we will stay in Opopo home again when we travel to Otaru.

The host is polite and patient. Peaceful and I promise that if I have the opportunity I will come back and stay here again.

Ocho Guest House nằm trong bán kính 10 phút đi bộ từ ga tàu điện ngầm Horohirabashi và 5 phút đi bộ từ trạm xe điện Nakajimakoen Dori. A great helpful informative friendly economical experience towards the end of my stay in Japan. Very clean and stylish; cosy bunk beds well supplied with inner lights, portals and so on. Nice simple satisfying breakfast. Best of all the owner/managers, Michi and Eric, obviously efficient and experienced but also super welcoming -- almost like family to all of us. Even supplied me with perfect fresh green stuff to make up for previous difficulties finding veggie food in Japan, AND drove me (an Old Lady) and my dense heavy suitcase to the station, wow! BTW, travellers, look out for free cultural events in Sapporo; the "Ocho" is very near a beautiful park and concert hall and museums, a highly propitious environment. I very strongly recommend the Guest House (but book early, they're very busy in high seasons).
