This was our best stay in Sri Lanka, in 28days! The hosts are very sweet and kind, a pleasure to meet them! The room is very pretty, super clean and the towels and bedding smelled very good and fresh! It's located on the hill, very close to the main street where you find all the restaurants and coffees in Ella. Would definitely stay again!

The view. The cleanliness. The value for money. The staff. Almost everything. I stayed there for 2 weeks last February. I liked the hotel a lot. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hashan the owner treated us as his own guests. He is very generous and hospitable. The food was very delicious and authentic. Haputale is very calm place and less touristy than Ella. I loved it more than Ella. It is surrounded by tea plantations, and very ery close to Horton Plains and Lipton’s seat. The hotel arranged trips for us to those places and to Udawalawe National Park. The roads around the hotel are great for trekking.

Rainbow sky cottage is a lovely family business. Fabulous views over the railway line and valley. You can scramble down to the track and turn right for Kital Ella, the small Ravana falls and Ella Rock. Turn left for Ella station, nine arch bridge, little adams peak etc. Beds are comfortable, food is excellent and showers are hot. Chandu will help with your logistics needs too. Service is top notch
