Green Sapphire Holiday Resort Wilpaththu ligger i Wilpaththu og har have, gratis WiFi samt udsigt over rismarkerne og kanalen. Gæsterne har adgang til et fuldt udstyret køkken. The food and hospitality were amazing. Everyone was so accommodating and went out of their way to make sure I had a nice stay.

Backwaters Lodge ligger i Wilpattu og tilbyder indkvartering med opholdsområde. Overnatningsstedet har døgnåben reception og picnicområde. Ombyggede 20-fods containere til fine værelser med badeværelse og balkon i træhøjde, så vi kunne følge med i dyrelivet udenfor. Ikke noget luksus, men fint og funktionelt. Super sødt og serviceminded personale, særligt deres hotel manager var et hit for stedet. Flydende engelsk, meget omsorgsfuld - super professionel. Udover safari i Wilpattu, var vi på Sunset Safari fra hotellet og på en guidet gåtur i området med en af de ansatte. En virkelig smuk og spændende tur, der varmt kan anbefales. Området er fantastisk smukt med rismarker, søer og regnskov - og masser af dyr. Og maden på Backwaters er et kapitel for sig selv, hvis man gerne vil smage rigtig srilankansk mad. Det var vildt lækkert og meget varieret. Vores varmeste anbefalinger af dette sted - vi kunne sagtens være blevet mere end 3 dage!

Wilpattu Mookalan Resort ligger blot 38 km fra Kumbichchan Kulama Tank og tilbyder indkvartering i Habawewa med gratis cykler, have samt roomservice. Fantastic! We were a close family group of 7 persons in 3 rooms. You will not be disappointed. It is only 100 metres from NP entrance & lake edge. Magical entry is unique thru bush path that opens onto safari style forest huts in keeping with the secluded setting. The rooms were exceptionally clean, beds comfy with mosquito nets. Ensuite was spotless. The best part was our host Neehal! His limited English was more than made up for by his entusiasm & attention to detail. Were ate all meals on site and were exceptional provided by Sanjay.. Highly reccomended !!! Ask Neehal about our safari guide Bhashi from Visit Wilpattu - our no 1 experience in whole of Sri Lanka.

Wilpattu homestay by Ceylon group er et nyrenoveret homestay i Wilpattu, hvor gæsterne kan få mest muligt ud af sit udendørs bad og gratis cykler. Friendly welcome, great food and organised everything for us with ease. The safari was excellent as we were conscious of finding one that was respectful to the wildlife, our naturalist guide and driver were exactly that. Best Sri Lankan breakfast, so tasty!!

Wilpattu Lakwin Guest ligger i Pahala Maragahawewa, under 31 km fra Kumbichchan Kulama Tank og 32 km fra Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. The staff was very friendly and helped set up a safari. Make sure to ask about safari price including or excluding the national park fees. The dinner add on was very delicious!

Wilpattu Green Cabin ligger i Achchchamulai og tilbyder indkvartering med opholdsområde. Ejendommen har udsigt over søen og floden. Wilpattu Green Cabin is a small and friendly family-run establishment in the countryside near Eluwankulama. It is accessible by tuk tuk from the Elwulankulama bus stop. The drivers will know where to go. (It’s about 5 minutes away.) Wilpattu Green Cabin is located right on the Lunu Ela River (I think that is the name) and is a lovely and relaxing spot to take a break. They have two new bungalows with a fan, mosquito nets and veranda that face the river and are spacious, clean and comfy. They also have one room referred to as “the treehouse“ which was entirely crafted out of sustainable “green“ materials. It is more cozy than the bungalows but it is super adorable and has a wonderful vibe. Be prepared to climb a ladder! It costs a little bit more than the bungalows but worth it! They also have a couple air con rooms that are kind of dark and do not face the river in case you absolutely need your AC. You will probably want to purchase lunch and/or dinner at Green Cabin since there is no other easy option but no worries, the meals are tasty and filling. Breakfast was included. The establishment is run by a friendly fellow named Riswan, his brother, sister-in-law and others. Riswan will arrange a Jeep safari to Wilppatu National Park if you like. You can also take a long pole boat ride up the river to look for birds. I did both the Jeep safari and the long pole boat ride and thoroughly enjoyed them. Of note: there is an elephant that sometimes swims the river and sneaks into the adjacent rice paddy for a midnight snack! I would definitely book another stay at Wilpattu Green Cabin, especially in the treehouse!

Wilpattu Dolosmahe har en god beliggenhed for et problemfrit ophold i Wilpattu og er et pensionat omgivet af udsigt over den stille gade. Ejendommen har have, fælles opholdsstue og parkering på... This was some of the best few days we had during our 2 week stay in Sri Lanka. Our hosts were very sweet and couldn’t do enough for us. Sussil offered us a safari tour soon after our arrival but wasn’t pushy or forceful. Immediately I felt he was very genuine in the price he quoted us and was able to bring it down by asking if we would share the jeep with other guests. His knowledge and skills on safari were excellent and we were not disappointed with our day. Even after a full 12 hour day safari Sussil made the guests Sri Lankan dinner and catered to everyone’s needs. Absolute hero with very good English skills. Room was good for the price and most importantly location just a few metres from the park entrance.
