Incredible place, very friendly staff, good food. Tarique organized a full day Safari in nearby Willpattu for us everything worked out very fine. We saw an angry elephant, many birds, a leopard and a quarter of a sloth bear.

Set just 38 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort provides accommodation in Habawewa with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as room service. Fantastic! We were a close family group of 7 persons in 3 rooms. You will not be disappointed. It is only 100 metres from NP entrance & lake edge. Magical entry is unique thru bush path that opens onto safari style forest huts in keeping with the secluded setting. The rooms were exceptionally clean, beds comfy with mosquito nets. Ensuite was spotless. The best part was our host Neehal! His limited English was more than made up for by his entusiasm & attention to detail. Wilpattu homestay by Ceylon group is a recently renovated homestay in Wilpattu, where guests can make the most of its open-air bath and free bikes. Great stay at this homestay. The guys were super friendly and helpful. They also organized the safari tour for us and everything worked!! The homestay is in a quiet area close to the park what makes it super comfortable.

Located in Pahala Maragahawewa, within 31 km of Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 32 km of Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Wilpattu Lakwin Guest provides accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for... Spacious room about 10-15 min drive from Wilpattu. Our host was very friendly and arranged a tour to Wilpattu for us. We got breakfast and lunch for along the way which was very delicious. Breakfast next morning was delicious again. We left with the bus which stops 100m from the guest house.

Situated in Achchamulai, Wilpattu Green Cabin features accommodation with seating area. The property has lake and river views. The host was really nice and managed to organise the safari at the last minute. We saw elephants near the river in the night, it was incredible!

A good location for a hassle-free stay in Wilpattu, Wilpattu Dolosmahe is a guest house surrounded by views of the quiet street. This was some of the best few days we had during our 2 week stay in Sri Lanka. Our hosts were very sweet and couldn’t do enough for us. Sussil offered us a safari tour soon after our arrival but wasn’t pushy or forceful. Immediately I felt he was very genuine in the price he quoted us and was able to bring it down by asking if we would share the jeep with other guests. His knowledge and skills on safari were excellent and we were not disappointed with our day. Even after a full 12 hour day safari Sussil made the guests Sri Lankan dinner and catered to everyone’s needs. Absolute hero with very good English skills. Room was good for the price and most importantly location just a few metres from the park entrance.
