Situated in Taman Negara, Balai Serama Guesthouse offers tranquil and comfortable accommodation. Surrounded by lush greenery, it features a restaurant and provides free parking space on site. We took a morning stroll in the garden, then enjoyed our breakfast by the river; the host Ijat saw to all our needs, from arranging rain forest activities, sending us there and picking us up , many times, to laundry, to little chats…adding comfort to every aspects of our stay. Durian Chalet felt like home. The staff were very kind and helpful, the rooms were clean, big, beautifully placed in the big property. I loved that my chalet was in front of a large patch of pandan, and it smelt wonderful. The chalet is located away from the main town square and that made it much quieter-something that I really wanted. Overall, I will definitely be coming back and staying here.

I came for a couple of days, and in the end extended my stay for a whole week. Very good location, close to restaurants and the jetty. The room is simple but very cozy. Bed is super comfortable. I felt safe with a huge net above it. Rooms have little balconys with a nice view. The owners are super helpful and friendly.
