I stayed 2 different times at the start and end of my trip. both were great! the property has a cute garden area with pool, lovely breakfast options and the room was clean and cozy. the staff are so friendly and helpful! they helped me get a taxi and figure out bus details to get to Managua.

The house is huge, the neighborhood is very nice, kids out and playing until late, and it is a 20 minute walk to the main square of Leon. (There's also a c$6 bus that stops outside the front door, and taxis are about c$50). You get a look into parts of the town that are not the center. Breakfast was excellent and varied, and the Wi-Fi clocked in at 50Mbps so easily fast enough for Zoom calls and the like. If you have an oversized vehicle, there is a secured lot around the corner (in front of the basketball court) that charges c$30/day. The on-site garage will handle regular vehicles.

The staff were all super friendly and we felt at home right away - they also have a cat and a kitten who were adorable (we miss them already). We found it to be more like a guest house than a hostel, it’s nice and quiet and a good breakfast is provided each morning - prepared whenever you want. The common areas are comfortable and there’s a pool which was great for afternoon dips in the León heat. The kitchen is really well equipped, it felt like cooking at home and there’s water provided for free. The hostel is located in a quieter part of town but still less than 10 minutes to walk to the centre - we liked this as it meant it wasn’t too noisy at night. We would really recommend staying here.

The hosts are so nice and friendly. The laundry service is extraordinary. The cleaning of the rooms is perfect. Nice kitchen with all you need and free coffee and water. Great location.

Smeštajni objekat Hostal Casa Abierta ima bazen na otvorenom, vrt, terasu i bar u gradu Leon. This place is a hidden gem! Such a nice relaxing oasis right in the middle of the city. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the fan keeps the room at a good temp overnight (bathroom was pretty warm!). The staff are so kind and accommodating and the food in the restaurant is AMAZING!! It seemed a little expensive but definitely worth it and the portions are huge too. Thank you so much to the team, they really made our time in Léon special and we enjoyed our afternoons relaxing in the beautiful pool. I think there are just 8 rooms so the staff really give you lots of attention and care.

The room was a bit outdated and needs refurbished. Breakfast started at 8 and that was a bit late for our needs but they were very flexible and we got breakfast earlier. Friendly staff.
