The room was very good with a nice kitchen and a lot of space. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There is even a cute little chicken that sometimes pays a visit. Max and his wife Martha were so kind and friendly, we loved staying with them. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Rivas. Perfect resting place while on your way to other places.

We were looking for a natural, simple and above all true place. Here we found it, Jose' the owner, a wonderful person. Priceless view of the volcano. We absolutely recommend it!!!

Walking distance to main road with some nice restaurants within 30 mins. Information booklet in the room was helpful. Help to rent mopeds, organise transport, guides etc. The room was spacious, bed was really comfortable, hardly any creepy crawlies (this is a complaint from many of the eco lodges). Good wifi. 2 fans which was nice. Good shower pressure and temperature.

The staff connected us to reasonably-priced & trustworthy scooter rentals, so that was a real bonus. They also prepared a breakfast for us at short-notice when we realized we wanted to catch a ferry at a certain time, so that was appreciated. Other reviews mention "sketchy characters" around, but nobody bothered us out on the streets at all. Definitely recommended!

The wifi coverage is excellent. Poppy the dog and Blimp the cat are adorable ambassadors. Louis, Nick, and the team are friendly and extremely responsive. This is a special place to return to after a day of adventure in San Juan. It is also an incredible value.
