We came across this beautiful pension when we were looking for a place which is the closest to Serra da Estrela. The host gave us a warm welcome and our expectations were exceeded after arriving at this beautiful and lovely Quinta. Every detail about the interior in the entire pension made us feel cozy and welcoming there. We really enjoyed our stay there and the host was such a lovely and friendly local who really tries everything to make her guests feel like home. Every single morning she provided us with an enriched best breakfast buffet and the food was always fresh and clean. She didn't hesitate a single bit about being asked for anything and she even made the effort to store my birthday cake in her own fridge which we brought with us all the way to our destination. She even got out of her way to arrange with me and my fiancé a little birthday breakfast with our cake. We can't thank her enough for her support and help during our entire stay. We both really enjoyed our chats with her and we also appreciate her own recommendations about some places very much which turned out to be hidden local gems to us. We both really enjoyed our stay in that Quinta and we really highly recommend this place to anyone who plans a trip to Serra da Estrela.

Quinta do Quinto features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Porto da Carne. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Awesome place for a getaway, to relax and just enjoy yourselves. It's quiet, we'll arranged and very friendly staff. Even though this is in a remote location, they do have a power wall to charge your car, that's a ++ 😊

The hotel is in perfect condition, it’s fairly new and everything is high quality. The host, Joana, made the experience even better. She always went the extra mile to make sure that we are comfortable. Even better, she helped me buy and prepare things for my friend’s birthday I also liked that there is a kitchen so you can easily cook your meals as well and all the utilities are there.

Offering barbecue facilities and garden view, Casa da Ribeirinha is situated in Sabugueiro, 44 km from Mangualde Live Artificial Beach and 20 km from Manteigas Hot Springs. The house is very well located, clean and well maintained. The staff is great at accomodating our needs.

Located in the centre of Manteigas, Casa D’Avenida is a newly renovated family house, sited within the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. I arrived in a rather dishevelled state after a motorcycle accident on the mountain tracks. Josefa and her daughter were extremely helpful and provided icepacks for a swollen hand and ibuprofen gel as well as directions to the health centre. I ended up spending over a week here and was treated like family. I have never known such unconditional hospitality. They even let me leave my motorcycle at their house while I came back to the UK as I was unable to ride for 12 weeks. The accommodation comprises four rooms of which two have balconies. The breakfast provided was comprehensive with most things you could want. All areas of the accommodation were spotless and cleaned every day.

Located on the foot of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park near the village of Unhais da Serra, Quinta da Vargem offers a scenic view of the landscape and access to an outdoor pool plus a tennis court. Stunning location, hidden away but still very accessible. Wonderful hostess who couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. Very comfortable beds, quality furnishings/decor and spacious, well equipped bathroom. Various living areas to relax in with wonderful warm log burners and great views. Breakfast was delicious, with quality ingredients, and plentiful.
