We came across this beautiful pension when we were looking for a place which is the closest to Serra da Estrela. The host gave us a warm welcome and our expectations were exceeded after arriving at this beautiful and lovely Quinta. Every detail about the interior in the entire pension made us feel cozy and welcoming there. We really enjoyed our stay there and the host was such a lovely and friendly local who really tries everything to make her guests feel like home. Every single morning she provided us with an enriched best breakfast buffet and the food was always fresh and clean. She didn't hesitate a single bit about being asked for anything and she even made the effort to store my birthday cake in her own fridge which we brought with us all the way to our destination. She even got out of her way to arrange with me and my fiancé a little birthday breakfast with our cake. We can't thank her enough for her support and help during our entire stay. We both really enjoyed our chats with her and we also appreciate her own recommendations about some places very much which turned out to be hidden local gems to us. We both really enjoyed our stay in that Quinta and we really highly recommend this place to anyone who plans a trip to Serra da Estrela.

Located in the centre of Manteigas, Casa D’Avenida is a newly renovated family house, sited within the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. The mom and daughter team are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The home is gorgeous and super clean. Fantastic breakfast. Just perfect!

Located in the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela, this 19th century building of granite stone offers traditional rooms with balconies. What a wonderful little paradise in the mountains. I especially recommend it if you love dogs. The view is amazing, they have nice relaxation areas and a great breakfast with an amazing view. Everyone was so nice. Also having our laundry done was so welcome. I can only recommend it.

Very clean and not dated, kitchen was really cute and had everything we needed and all clean. Very rustic but not old/smelly/dated decoration, everything felt comfortable. Totally recommend it! Located on the foot of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park near the village of Unhais da Serra, Quinta da Vargem offers a scenic view of the landscape and access to an outdoor pool plus a tennis court. A very unique, chic and elegant place. An oasis of nature,calmness and class. The greatness and cleanness of the house it’s a 10*. And this wouldn’t be so perfect without the warmth and kindness of the host Margarita. This feels like going back home. Perfect place for anybody.
