When 90% of places in Alaska look like junkyards, then it's the opposite there. The yard is well taken care and beautiful. The place itself is like new, well equipped, comfy beds, perfect bathroom. You get half of the house with plenty of space. It's away from main road, quiet. It was really nice to see that one family has done really everything for the place.

The property has mountain and quiet street views. The homestay features family rooms. Maryanne was very nice and kind. The house was clean and quiet during our two nights stay there. We also had a good time sharing stories with her and felt welcomed.

She provided a shuttle service from and to the airport, and helped me to find some new tour options as one of the booked tours has been cancelled. Also, she has made possible for me to be able to kayak at Petersburg Creek (starting from the accommodation). She recommended a short hiking option to the beach from the airport (when leaving Petersburg) instead of waiting there too much time. The room is large with a separate living room, bedroom and kitchen. The downtown is just a 10-15 minute walk. Petersburg has a lot of kind people, I really like enjoyed my stay in the hotel and at the location too (when I was walking along the shore in Petersburg I saw killer whales, seals and sea lions, fantastic experience).
