The crew were very welcoming and warm, the room was beautiful and full of detail, including a window to the sea below the floating home, and many carefully designed spots to just lay down and enjoy the landscape. They arranged all the transportation for us, even picking is up at Viet Hai after a cruise trip, and trip back to Hanoi by boat/taxi/bus. Besides the human side, what is most stunning in this place is the fact that you get to spend the night in a really unique settlement, call the 'supermarket boat' if you need anything, or sail to a fisherman house to buy some fish to cook for yourself, getting a glimpse of the life in this special corner of earth. I would recommend it in a thousand lifes!

300 metres from Hospital Cave, Cat Ba Countryside Homestay is a recently renovated property set in Cat Ba and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Such good value for money. Rooms are clean and spacious. We loved the location in a village up in the mountain. You do need a scooter to get around. Owner is super helpful and knows good English. Also the tours and bus tickets are super reasonable. They serve good food, too.

Situated in Ha Long, 600 metres from Queen Cable Car Station, The Bay - Ha Long Homestay features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy in the balcony or lush common area. The Bay was a small and very cozy apartment with very beautifully designed-decorated rooms around a small cute courtyard. Its minimal environment was enriched by perfect details such as stairs and balconies becoming a green public garden with ivies, or the kitchen with all the complete wares for cooking, keeping and sharing food and drinks. smooth colours and well-chosen paintings on the walls create a nice and warm atmosphere where everything was very clean and well maintained. The Location was on the other side of the center of Ha Long. in Bai Chay, where there is a more local and scaled relationality rather than huge same buildings, homestay is very close for an easily reaching neighborhood life. And Tung, the host was very helpful about giving tips for visiting places, food and transportation around both the bay and the neighborhood. We had a motorbike rental and travel around easily. So, it became a very good stay enriching its price which we can highly recommend.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Cat Ba Central Homestay is a recently renovated homestay set in Cat Ba, 1.4 km from Tung Thu Beach. With city views, this accommodation provides a patio. This property was super clean and just tucked away from the main streets so it was nice and quiet. I booked here and spending a few days on the Ha Giang Loop and I’m so grateful I did! I slept great and the host is the most kind and accommodating. He booked all of my trips and transportation for me - it felt nice to not have to use my brain!

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Cat Ba Santorini Homestay is a recently renovated homestay situated in Cat Ba, 1.2 km from Cat Co 2 Beach. We stayed two nights at Homestay Cat Ba Santorini and it has been a very pleasant experience. The host, Mr. Tien helped us arrange both transport from the pier to the homestay and from the homestay to our next destination and the communication prior to our arrival has been great. The property is very clean and our room was the same. It was very spacious on two floors with more beds than we needed . The location is also very convenient and there are a lot of restaurants nearby and a few minutes from Cat Ba Town center. They also have a restaurant but we did not have the chance to try it. We had a great stay and I would definitely recommend it if you are visiting Cat Ba!
