Situated within an Art Deco heritage-listed building, YHA Blue Mountains Katoomba offers a range of rooms, a BBQ area, a games room and an impressive former ballroom with a cosy fireplace. The property is just 700 metres from Katoomba Train Station. All rooms include free onsite parking.

There is a huge common area with many tables and couches, which can provide privacy if you want to be alone. The building itself is very beautiful, bright, and cozy. I felt at home.

Pretty good for a private room at a backpackers. We were up high with cute window seat and view. My partner thought it smelled weird with strange vibes, but I was pretty happy, room was cute, toilet and showers were separate but private and lockable.it definitely a quirky place but was still quite and reasonably clean.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Clean, easy parking, warm room, pretty well sound proofed, easy checkin with the ATM type machine and checkout with only needing to play key into machines slot - fantastic for Covid safety. Rooms everything you needed for a weekend away.

Room was clean & comfortable with heating that we could control that was quick & effective. Good size bathroom with towels provided. Safe & secure with security doors around the property. Surprisingly quiet after 10pm for a hostel. Large comfortable communal areas & kitchen with plenty of fridge storage.

The best hostel I've ever been so far! Very homey and cozy. I could have seen that the owner really cares about the environment from many little things. Handmade cakes and cookies, free tea and coffe. What else can I say? Just magic!

Best hostel experience I've had so far! The staff are so kind and the place has a very warm and homely feel to it. Great lounge and backyard and people actually socializing. Kitchen has everything including oil, milk and a lot of seasoning! Breakfast is pretty basic but the bread was good. The town is really charming as well. Highly recommended! Would stay again.

What a wonderful place to stay. Without question the best hostel experience I have ever had. Ross is such a great host, and the other travellers there were so welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean and was a great place to stay before a big run from Katoomba to Jenolan Caves. I definitely feel like this is a home away from home and if I’m lucky enough to get into the 6 Foot Track next year I will be back.

One of the best hostels I've been to in Australia! The house is cute, comfortable and in a great location close to the shops but also to many sights in the Blue Mountains. All the facilities are clean and the kitchen is well equipped with enough space to store your food. Would definitely recommend staying here!
