Excellent location and food. You are surrounded by jungle and well taken care of by the hosts. Juan-Carlos built the lodge himself and used to be a chef at a local restaurant. He’ll cook meals for you for a very reasonable price.

We had a lovely stay at Corcovado Guest House. The host Mike was very nice and had good and helpful tips about the area. The house is quietly located on the edge of the primary rainforest. We woke up one morning to a white-faced capuchin monkey in the garden! The house really exceeded our expectations!

This might be the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. The cabins were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked etc. it was very easy to organize tours with the helpful staff. Most importantly, at night hundreds of parrots flocked and roosted in the trees around the property. One morning we woke up and saw like 5 macaws and 2 toucans in a tree right next to our cabin. Definitely worth it to get the cabin with the sea view.

The whole experience was amazing. It is a serious adventure, involving a place ride, taxi ride that literally went over rivers and a 30 minute hike- with gear. I am not sure I would have done it (with partner who has bad knees and 9 yo) if I had known how hard it was to get to- but it was so worth it. Ricardo was so full of life and generosity. John always had plenty of time to help us. In addition to keeping the space spotless, Mar even came up with a birthday cake when we needed one! To be clear- you are staying in tents in the jungle. There are insects. The food is expensive. Your clothes never dry. But you are also on the beach in a glorious, amazing place.

The staff was so nice and helpful both before (giving information about how to get there) and during my stay and very accommodating. I liked that one pays a deposit only for the towel and get money back. Rooms were clean and shower big with good pressure. Common area were nice and cosy
