Loved this place, even better than the pictures. Clean rooms and bathrooms cleaned daily. Kitchen was huge and clean too. Sitting area was cozy, I wish there were yoga mats. I would stay here again and I met some great people!

El clan is in the center of Puerto Viejo and yet it is quiet and serene. I love the convenience, friendly staffs, nice facilities especially the pool which we thought is a great deal, the AC which for me is a must when you are in a tropical country, the sorrounding trees where you can sometimes find a sloth up close and most importantly it is where I met new friends from accross the world. ♥️ Ive been looking for a comment before if they provide a towel so YES they do and you only need to deposit 5k colones which will be reimbursed when you return it back. Also, Puerto Viejo is located near a lush vegetation so mosquitoes are expected, I suggest you buy a repellant which is available in a nearby supermercado. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Hosts go above and beyond to help with any request and accomodate their guests. Overall decor is rustic with very unique open bungalow feel. Bunk rooms have high ceilings with unique triple bunk bed setup. Very cool place, location is perfect, hosts are officially my family.
