All clean, friendly staff. Also bed were very comfy. Very great location. And this is my 4th or 5th time at this place, and I will go there again. Also liked that last time I say that internet isn`t working in lower level rooms- this time they offer device for better internet in room if needed.

Set in Tartu, within 200 metres of Tartu City Museum and less than 1 km of Science Centre AHHAA, Downtown Hostel offers accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Popular points of interest nearby include Tartu Angel’s Bridge, Tartu Cathedral and University of Tartu Natural History Museum. The accommodation features a shared kitchen and a 24-hour front desk for guests.

We were really satisfied with everything. Incredibly spacious, insanely good value for money (!!!), great almost private kitchen, separate toilet and bathroom in the apartment, very, very comfortable beds and bedding (which is something that hostels often skimp on, so this was very appreciated). It was -10 outside and snowing the whole time we visited and the apartment was very cosy and warm.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever been to. Great overall atmosphere. Kitchen, bathrooms, hallways were all not only clean, but taken care of with love. The staff was incredibly welcoming. I was a big fan of the upcycled furniture in the hostel.

A great place to sleep at a fantastic price point. If you just want to lay your head down somewhere with a roof over you, this dormitory is perfect for that. Nearby is a Selver ABC and a sandwich fast food restaurant. The place is very safe.

The staff was extremely helpful to me. They helped me deal with a future booking stay where there was a language barrier between the hostel owner and me. They wrote for me in Estonian and even called the other hostel on the phone. The beds were mostly twins, not bunk beds. That's always better. There was a shower designated just for women and another just for men. Though there wasn't a table and chair in my dorm room, I was invited to use the table in the common area.

The hostel was clean and in a good location (even though not central, the walk to the Old Town is only about 15-20 minutes). It's opposite to Aparaaditehas complex which has some shops and restaurants. It wasn't cheap but still good value for money.
