Mandalas Hostal is situated in San Pedro La Laguna and has a terrace. Free WiFi is featured.

A kitchen with everything you need and a dining area.

Great view of lake Atitlan and the surrounding mountains and volcanoes!

I had a very chill stay here. It’s near the party hostel so you can definitely hear music until around midnight but it didn’t personally bother me. They have a well equipped kitchen that most people stay here use so it was also easy to meet other travellers. The rooftop terrace was a cozy place to hang out and eat breakfast with a view. I used the laundry service which was same day service.

What a gem in San Pedro. We couldn't get enough of atmosphere there. Room was clean, night sleep excellent. Shared bathroom was not a problem at all as we rarely met anyone there. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Dining area is out of this world - so pretty and relaxing we could spend hours there. Food was delicious. The selection of breakfasts was rich and each one of them was tasty. Drinking water available at all times. Price performance is excellent.

Situated in San Juan La Laguna and with Volcano Atitlan reachable within 25 km, Chirris Hostel features a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. Some units at the property have a patio with a mountain view.

Andrea, the owner, was exceptionally attentive, helpful and conscientious. In addition to being an amazingly cozy and inviting atmosphere, she also explained her larger vision of reducing environmental impact (particularly on trash and water usage) and training local women as employees at a fair wage. Could not give a stronger recommendation for this hostel!

Fantastic vibe, with lovely hosts that will do anything to help. I loved the fire camp at night with sometimes Travellers play song music, loved the traditional temascal steam bath, and outdoor sort of dorms, allowing for fresh air, calm, confortable with plenty of room. Plus the view is amazing and healthy as it’s surrounded with organic fields. It’s only a short walk distance from the city centre and fresh 7q cononuts ;)

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location with amazing views on the lake. Breakfast is very good (!) and in a nice bar next to the hostel. The hostel offers free tuktuk and kayak services, which I found amazing. Kayaking around the lake is a wonderful experience and a must do.

Really nice hostel, I love the concept : you sleep in large and comfortable tents, you feel the fresh air on the night, nicer than a dormitory for me. The staff is really friendly and the location good, not far from the center but in a quiet neighbourhood next to the lake. Free breakfast, you have also a nice kitchen and a little workout area !

Sweet hostel with basic dormitorys but a super location in the city center. The dorms are not the most quiet because there is an active nightlife in town. So if you have trouple sleeping, I might choose a private room which is further away from the streets. The view from the rooftop is spectacular.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, I had a problem with the lock in the bathroom and they changed it very quickly, the breakfast was nice and the view is amazing. Also a lot of backpackers in the dorms so it was easy to meet new people

I came to Guatemala to backpack and met some people with who I was travelling for a while. We saw this hotel and went there. it was more than the normal backpacker accommodation. However, it was very quite and not a social place, depends on what you like. The rooms are cheap and have a private bathroom. The host didn't try to rip us off, he was very nice (but he didn't speak english). I can really recommend it, if you want to get out of hostels for a bit but still want to have a cheap accommodation.

The common room is great, bar and restaurant good and cheap. The staff is super nice and the privacy of tents is great. It's clearly the best hostel I've ever been in. I booked one night ended up staying for 7 nights.
