Located in the centre of Hiroshima, RED HELMET House & Sports Bar Hiroshima is situated less than 1 km from Myoei-ji Temple and a 11-minute walk from Hiroshima Station. Featuring a bar, the 2-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. Private parking is available on site.

The staff and the owner is super nice and friendly. Facility (room, bathroom, shower and common area) is very clean. Loved the fact that there's an elevator, and that washroom and shower room are gender-separated. Common room (2nd Floor) is spacious with a lot of games (wii, chess game, manga, etc.) inside. Sleeping area is on 3rd-5th floor. Female room is warm and locked at all time. There's also a rooftop that I can go to see the night sky. In addition to access to rooftop, 6th floor also has laundry and extra shower room which is very handy because I can still take a shower or do my laundry late at night without disturbing others' sleep. Location is great too. Stadium is next door while Hiroshima stn, which is connected to a mall consists of many restaurants, is less than 10 min walk. I will definitely stay here again.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

This far exceeding my expectations. The room was clean and had everything you needed, safe, fridge private bathroom. Bunk beds were comfortable. There was a window although the glass was opaque. The shared lounge and kitchen downstairs was really clean and comfortable. Meals and coffee were also available. Staff were very friendly. Value for money was amazing.

The room was quite spacious. The hostel is very well located. You have access to a (paid) laundry service were they provide the detergent. The hostel has a very cute atmosphere, almost familial (but not as familial as a youth hostel). The personnel is adorable and very helpful (they also serve as tourist information center). There was an issue with the wifi on the first day but once fixed it worked very efficiently. If you plan to try Hiroshima's okonomiyaki there's a very cute restaurant literally across the street.

Overall a good stay, and definitely good value for money. Location-wise, the guest house is at walking distance from Hiroshima main attractions. The room had a lot of bunk beds, it was reasonably clean given the amount of people sleeping in the room. Many showers and toilets around. I would recommend if you are traveling on a budget and are used to hostels.

One of the best hostels I have stayed at. Staff is suuuper nice, helpful, welcoming... Everything is so clean! Beds are comfortable. Big common area that's great for meeting people, there's always someone hanging out. Great for solo travellers. Nice rooftop. Location is really good, close to shopping street, bar street, convi's... But no noise in the hostel.
