Good location close to the laguna and the central plaza. Very nice host and very good included breakfast. What they call a "tent" on Booking.com is actually more like a shed. It has a normal bed and a fan, and you can lock it.

We spent a few days directly on the lake before staying here. This was place was way cheaper and we preferred it to our hotel by some distance. Comfy, cosy, clean, safe, air conditioned and also had Netflix which was a nice treat after long days in the sun. So many great restaurants and cafes nearby. Wish we stayed here for the entirety of our time in Bacalar. If you’re on a budget you won’t regret staying here!SarahYoung couple

Dorms are simple and small but I didn’t spend much time in there as the deck was so gorgeous and you had a big locker for your bag. Easy to walk to the main square.
