During the night, you can enjoy a sky full of stars. In the morning, at breakfast , there was a group of howler monkeys very close to us. Sunset views are great as well. The last bus from Moyogalpa to Merida leaves at 4.40pm and it’s a 2 hours trip. There is a sign on the left side of the road just as you leave Merida, the bus will drop you there. Otherwise, it’s a 20-30$ taxi trip. You can have lunch and dinner as well, food was delicious.

It’s definitely not a party hostel, but the communal dinners made for a really nice and sociable atmosphere. Plus a beautiful, tranquil setting, lovely garden full of monkeys, cute dogs, double bed in the dorm, loads of hammocks… and great value when I booked (start of rainy season).
