Located in the 13th-century Castle Assumburg, this hostel offers fairy-tale surroundings in beautiful North Holland and a characteristic tower bar. Make use of free parking. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Stayokay Hostel Heemskerk is a hostel which offers simple but comfortable rooms with bunkbeds. The rooms that offer 2 to 8 beds offer a private shower and toilet.

The hostel itself looks fantastic, being in an old castle. There was a decent selection of food for breakfast, which was provided at no extra cost. The cost of staying here a night was also very affordable. It's a pretty good starting point if you want to cycle in the country side.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

It’s an actual palace - such a cool experience! It’s such a beautiful proper, plus located conveniently to explore the area. I booked the a place in the dorm room, it’s very simple but completely meets any hostel standards. Don’t forget to take your towel!

A wonderful character building in the most lovely gardens which are being carefully restored. Our rooms in the Orangerie were fine, hostel accommodation but perfectly adequate. There was a bike parking area which was locked but as the key was just picked up and dropped off at the reception desk not terribly secure. Courtyard area was very relaxing for a beer or coffee..

It was really exeptional stay! Not everyday you can stay in 13 century castle. Garden around hostel is amazing! Rooms are simple as in hostel but clean. In price is included breakfest and it was really good (bread, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, yougurth, milk, hot coffee/tea etc). Internet excellent!
