Selina Venao River is an easy living oasis surrounded by trees & bordered by a river. It has an amazing pool for you to swim and take some sun. with a vegetarian restaurant right next to it. For the Digital Nomads, there is a CoWorking, a space with wifi, meeting room, hot desk and lots of natural light.

I like the way the hotel is designed, everything seems to be very well thought out. The staff is very friendly, the food is superb, they had looots of vegan options which is something I really appreciate as a vegan. The place is super relaxing, loved the music that was being played at a very comfortable volume. The beach is only minutes a way. Very chill vibe, 100% recommend.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Very cool layout, good hostel vibes, very close to the beach, room was super clean+comfortable+functional, shower was nice and warm!! Breakfast in the morning is so good. Beach itself is really good for bars and meeting other people. Veronica is so lovely and made us feel super welcome (shoutout to Swell the dog too). Aircon is fabulous.

The perfect base to explore Playa Venao. A quiet place, five minutes walk from the beach and all restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This hostel is a lot cheaper than for example the popular Selina hostel, but just as comfortable and a lot cleaner!

I had a terrible stay, the hostel was basically taken over by groups of partying Israelis who were playing loud music and singing into the night. I paid a ridiculous $60 for a dorm room, pure extortion because the whole village was sold out. I complained and only received a 10$ refund. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, maybe Nao Venao hotel which is way cheaper and nicer

great location directly at the beach. good food, though bit pricey. rooms are simple, but clean. bathrooms get cleaned regularly, though sometimes bit nasty. great and cheap (5$) facultative entertainment program (yoga, workout,…). great surfing location. fun party spot.

amazing hostel in a great location. the guys at the check in were very nice and kind , and took care of everything for us. the only thing that was a little bit annoying was that they didnt clean our room and because of the rain our room was dirty with mud.

La Choza is like a stay with a family. The owners are friendly and always willing to help. If you are a solo traveler it’s a great place to meet new people and connect. The kitchen is well equipped and super clean. Same for the shared bathrooms, the staff took the cleanliness very seriously. The beds are very comfortable and you get a good sleep with the AC. They also have nice hammocks and chill out areas for working out or just be. Great location too.
