Boasting a garden, BBQ facilities and views of garden, Villa Oropeza Hostel is situated in Sucre, 700 metres from Bolivar Park. Been traveling for 2 years and this is one of my favourite hostels I’ve stayed in. Pretty garden, nice little social areas, 2 kitchens, great wifi, clean bathrooms & rooms with curtains on the beds… just a perfect combination of everything.

Set in Sucre and with Bolivar Park reachable within 1.7 km, Spanish Friends offers express check-in and check-out, rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. I really loved my time here. The people are amazing. I spent a total of about 3 weeks here on two different occasions. The hostel is adjoined to a school where backpackers can arrange to learn Spanish. In the afternoon, the environment is lively with local kids who are also learning English. The host, teachers and children are very friendly. It makes for a great environment to learn and a more local and authentic experience. The quality of teaching is also very good as both the host and my teacher went to school for this and specialize in conversational Spanish which is important as a backpacker traveling around. The price for lessons also includes accommodation which is very reasonable compared to other places. The rooms are spacious and big which is great for people staying for longer periods of time. Welcoming guests with free WiFi throughout the entire property, Colors House offers accommodation in Sucre. The hostel was great but the staff made our stay truly exceptional. They gave us tips, arranged an early breakfast, and arranged our stay even though renovation started the day we left.
