Way better and cheaper than the hostels in the area. I'm sure you'll love it. They don't speak English, but hey just use Google translate. They even do your laundry.

They were very helpful, had bag storage, clothes washing facilities and we're very kind to provide us with breakfast items the evening before, as we were leaving very early on a tour the next day. The room and bathroom was clean and the outdoor seating area is a nice place to sit and relax. The place is close to the bus stations and the centre of town.

We rented bikes from the hostel to go on a fun ride to Coquimbo. Room was clean and there is a commune area. Rodrigo gave us some great travel tips for Vicuna, our next stop. Super kind and helpful - walked us to the bus station as well.

Really nice quiet place, 15 min walk from the beach and some restaurants. Delicious breakfast can be taken on the terrace. Beautiful garden to relax in the hammock. Located in the city's historic centre, Hostal El Arbol offers accommodations in La Serena. Free Wi-Fi access is available here. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

I loved the trees, the multiple areas to rest and take in the fresh air from the trees, the mountain views. Took naps and saw the night sky in the terrace and met great people and activities like pizza on the charcoal grill. The staff was always very warm and happy to help with tips. I also rented a bike and went ride to the nearby towns.
