It's labelled Local Tea Hostel. There are heaps of food stalls and a night market behind the hostel. Very quiet, good shower and clean. Good air con. Yes the foyer is sub standard but the hostel itself is fine.

Travelling in China can be challenging for foreigners, and the staff helped me a lot to arrange my visits. They were giving all the necessary time to help guests. The beds were comfortable and the vibe was cool.

Chengdu Dreams Travel International Youth Hostel is centraal gelegen in Chengdu, direct tegenover het Wuhou Temple Museum en Jinli Street. What a nice atmosphere and staff. Everything was pitch perfect. They put in effort in nice little details that makes your stay here really special.

Het Teddy Bear Hotel wordt sterk aanbevolen door de Lonely Planet-gids, en ligt op 5 minuten lopen van de berg Emei Shan. The staff were really helpful and the location was perfect for catching the bus out to explore the mountain. The hotel was well kept, clean, and had what I needed.

Het Holly's Hostel in Chengdu ligt op slechts 3 minuten lopen van de Tempel van Marquis Wu (Wu Hou Ci) en biedt betaalbare slaapzalen en privékamers met gratis WiFi. The hostel is located in a very interesting alley surrounded by tibetan shops and it is right next to a temple you can go and visit as well. From there you can reach the city centre easily on foot or with the metro. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable with good WiFi. Since it is in a secondary alley it is also very quiet. I think the lady at the reception can also speak a bit of English but we mainly talked in Chinese. I also had breakfast there and it was really good (chinese style breakfast) with mantou, rice, a few vegetables, soups, tea and eggs. The staff also helped me book a place for the Sichuan Opera (do it well in advanced if you want good spots, in tourist season it is hard to find any seats at all) and I also booked a mahjong lesson with them and it was super fun, you basically play with the staff for at least 3 hours and get complimentary tea and fruit.
