We loved our stay, from the pool to the meals (the creme brulee was PHENOMENAL) to hammocks and reading area. We watched the sun go down over Santa Marta and the Caribbean in the distance, awoke to birds in the morning, and felt like we were living in idyllic luxury. We only had one night, but this place definitely deserves several days to fully enjoy the peace and rest available here.

Julia, the host, goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and to help you with anything you need during your stay. Breakfast was good.

Every room is fitted with a safety deposit box, while some rooms will provide you with a balcony. All units at the hostel are equipped with a seating area. The location was great, surroundings were beautiful, you could fall asleep and wake up to the sound of birds chirping. While reading a book I also spotted some monkeys. The staff was superfriendly, all spoke english aswell (a treat you don't see much in Columbia). Food was nice. It was super close to Tayrona entrance. Definately worth to stay longer than just for visiting Tayrona.

Arrived at finca late, I came dying the low season so I was the only person there. As someone with very little Spanish and having been dropped off in the woods by a motor taxi across a river. (they're safe don't worry). I was a little skeptical and thinking "where the hell am I". I was quickly brought to my dorm room, no one was there - after coming from parting in Cali this was needed. I basically paid £9 or 45,000 pesos for a private ensuite Gonzalo looked after me and we had conversations through Google translate. He was so accommodating. Doing laundry, being attentive with delicious food. I would most certainly come back again. Remember to being cash - as most places in Tayrona take cash only. La Fonda were very accommodating and took care and so did Tayrona entrance I'd recommend this place to anyone, it is the essence on tranquil

Great hostel, social common area, lockers in dorms, they store your bags for you when you explore the area free of charge, and let me have a shower and gave me a towel when I picked them up for 2 dollars! Very friendly staff, plus breaky is included! Good location near lots of places to eat and the buses to Minca, Tayrona etc
