The fact that it's away from the town and in nature, good views, AMAZING food (I'll get onto that in a sec), comfy room and bed, nice outdoors bathroom and really friendly staff. So... the highlight of my stay was the amazing French gourmet food here! 😍 The food was legit better than some of the food I've had in top restaurants, and is at hostel prices.... If the local Colombian food isn't doing it for you, book yourself into a food retreat here. You won't regret it! Very quiet, 10 minutes walk from the wells of Pescaderito. Curití it is a beautiful village with a pleasant climate in Santander, and just a few minutes by car from the lodge. They offer dinner and delicious breakfasts.

The hostel offers a vegetarian breakfast or based on local fruits. It is a beautiful semi open place surounded by a lot of plants. Its pretty central and everthing is comfortable. Camilo is an amazing host with a lot of tips. We really enjoyed our stay und would come again for sure.

Providing a restaurant, the property also has a terrace and a bar. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. My favorite part of La Pacha was their restaurant. They have a fantastic Indian Vegetarian Thali that they do. It is really delicious. It came with rice, chapati, dal, paneer, a veg curry and a really tasty mango chutney. I can vouch for it because I am from India! Great job Justin and Andrea :)

At Tinto Hostel you will find a 24-hour front desk, a garden and a terrace, and there is also a shared lounge. You will find several restaurants and shops within less than 5 minutes walking. When I first booked at Tinto Hostel, I was in the process of looking for a tranquil and quiet place to stay for the last month of my 9-month journey abroad. After spending two nights in Barichara and at Tinto Hostel, I knew I had landed in the perfect spot. I ended up extending my stay from 2 nights to almost a full month. The hostel is surrounded by rich greenery which made it all that more relaxing and rejuvenating. I felt I was sleeping in a beautiful garden yet, the dorm room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds were also much bigger than any dorm room that I'd stayed in throughout my journey in Colombia. The location was perfect and close to everything. The town of Barichara itself, was absolutely stunning. The cost was extremely affordable. The owner Javier and his staff were wonderful and a delight to be around. Javier upon arrival, provided everyone with a map of the town and recommended the best places to eat, shop, and sites to see. Javier was always available for anything guests needed and was always helpful in any way possible. Javier is an exceptional host and I will miss him and his staff greatly.
