Set in Tamarindo and with Tamarindo Beach reachable within 600 metres, Mai Ke Kai Surf House offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Really nice vibe here. Lovely owners and homey feel. Felt like a big share house! Facilities were great (except one bathroom for 10 ppl). Great quiet location.

The whole family is super friendly and welcoming. We immediately felt like at home. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed! They really have an eye for details, e.g. umbrellas to take, in case of rain. Everything is super clean and the staff permanently takes care of all the facilities. The room itself was cozy and the AC was working properly. The common areas are nicely designed and we really enjoyed hanging out there. There are many shared bathrooms, so you'll never have to wait for showering. This was our best stay since weeks, thanks to the family who runs this place! Muchas Gracias!

Offering a private beach area and a garden, Pipe House Playa Grande is located in Playa Grande beach and 1.2 km from Marino Las Baulas National Park. Free WiFi is available throughout. Had an excellent stay at Pipehouse over Christmas with the family. Felipe welcomed us with open arms to his beautiful hostel with a lush garden, a big lounge area and hammocks. We even got to see monkeys jumping from branch to branch in the big tree overlooking the lounge. The hostel is located right by the sea and access to the beach couldn't be better. Additionally, we all found the hostel clean, well maintained and with a very friendly staff. The included breakfast was also much appreciated. Highly recommend for both singles, couples and families.

Located in Liberia. Only 12 Km away of the International Airport. 35 minutes from Coco beach, Playa Hermosa and Panama beach. Free WiFi throughout the property. Friendly staff, simple rooms but had everything I needed. Nice shower and toilets with a built in bidet which was cool. Also I got a free upgrade from the dorm to a private as a group came in to the dorms so overall a lovely stay and super close to the bus station for an early start

Comfy beds and clean facilities. The kitchen was great. The staff were awesome. Marco who runs the hostel is also a surf instructor and gave me quality surf lessons. He also helped me get a ride to the airport from one of his friends. It’s super easy to meet fellow travelers here and I met a bunch of cool people during my stay. It’s not a party hostel, but it’s still easy to find people go out with.
