The young Guy in the reception speaks excellent english. The room was very clean. The bathroom facilities were fine. Kitchen facilities were great.

Absolutely gorgeous ! The kitchen is super clean, the staff is nice, the dorm with AC is very clean and the AC works well.

Honestly what is there not to like? I booked last minute and showed up and was treated like family (but not the needy type 😏) I was only going to stay for the night, but the accommodations, location, and staff (which consisted of a lovely German family and extended local family) enticed me to stay a couple more days. (last minute even) They went out of their way to make it happen, and I did have to change rooms (because of my last minute choice) but the entire experience was awesome. the rooms (both of them were comfortable,clean, there was hot water and there was wildlife everywhere. I woke up and outside my door was a young sloth mulling about and feeding. Best Hotel yet. 2 months into a 4 month trip. Also it is very close to the park and I learned if you go to park from Chaulita side it is free. so saved me money.

Rihanny at the front desk is a total star. Calm, pleasant, warm and helpful she made our stay exceptional. The hostel was a joy, wonderful grounds with a resident sloth (Raoul), a number of agouti and most wonderful...the red straberry dart frogs. There are flowers at every corner and the trees and lush vegetation add ambiance and privacy. They have a good system for food storage in the shared kitchen and a nice little pool area.

The beach was only steps away. Excellent restaurant right on site. There is a grocery store about 1 km away. Shared kitchen had everything you would need to cook. The staff were so friendly and knowledgable.

Set in Tortuguero and with Tortuguero Beach reachable within a few steps, Chinitas Eco Lodge offers a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. Guests can enjoy garden views. Its more remote compared to tortuguero itself but amazing to stay for 2 days. It is not as crowded as Tortuguero is. And Owen (my guide for the day) was a great guide with really good knowledge and a high interest in animal life and nature

Set within 500 metres of Negra Beach and 1.7 km of Cocles Beach, Roots Family features rooms in Puerto Viejo. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. it realy felt like family.. everyone is easely connected. Nice kitchen the rooms are a little bit hot and somerimes noisy but that was nothing compared to the happiness i had here
