Offering a restaurant, Cabinas Algebra is located 2.5 km from Cahuita. Situated only 100 metres from Playa Grande beach, it features free WiFi and on-site parking. Honestly what is there not to like? I booked last minute and showed up and was treated like family (but not the needy type 😏) I was only going to stay for the night, but the accommodations, location, and staff (which consisted of a lovely German family and extended local family) enticed me to stay a couple more days. (last minute even) They went out of their way to make it happen, and I did have to change rooms (because of my last minute choice) but the entire experience was awesome. the rooms (both of them were comfortable,clean, there was hot water and there was wildlife everywhere. I woke up and outside my door was a young sloth mulling about and feeding. Best Hotel yet. 2 months into a 4 month trip. Also it is very close to the park and I learned if you go to park from Chaulita side it is free. so saved me money.

Boasting barbecue facilities and free WiFi, Kalunai Hostel is located in Puerto Viejo. The property has a garden, as well as a shared lounge. They have complete cookware and 3 stoves, love the kitchen!

Arcari Garden Hostel is located just 400 metres from Tortuguero National Park, just a few steps from the sea shores and features free WiFi access is available in all areas. Great staff (Pame is really, really, REALLY nice), great garden, great clean rooms :)

Rihanny at the front desk is a total star. Calm, pleasant, warm and helpful she made our stay exceptional. The hostel was a joy, wonderful grounds with a resident sloth (Raoul), a number of agouti and most wonderful...the red straberry dart frogs. There are flowers at every corner and the trees and lush vegetation add ambiance and privacy. They have a good system for food storage in the shared kitchen and a nice little pool area.

Objekat Tasty Dayz Hostel, koji je smešten u gradu Puerto Vijeho, na 2 min. The perfect spot to relax. The beach was only steps away. Excellent restaurant right on site. There is a grocery store about 1 km away. Shared kitchen had everything you would need to cook. The staff were so friendly and knowledgable.

Objekat Chinitas Eco Lodge se nalazi u gradu Tortugero, na nekoliko koraka od znamenitosti Plaža Tortuguero, a nudi vrt, terasu i pogled na jezero. Its more remote compared to tortuguero itself but amazing to stay for 2 days. It is not as crowded as Tortuguero is. And Owen (my guide for the day) was a great guide with really good knowledge and a high interest in animal life and nature

Nice kitchen the rooms are a little bit hot and somerimes noisy but that was nothing compared to the happiness i had here
