Situated within 7 acres of lush, landscaped gardens, Madingley Hall is a 16th-century country house offering rooms with idyllic garden views. Historic Cambridge is just 15 minutes’ drive away.
With digital TVs and free Wi-Fi, all rooms at Madingley Hall also feature tea and coffee-making facilities as well as a safe.
Just driving through the gate, past the Lodge and church set the tone and then your first glimpse of this historic stately building was enough to make an Aussie giddy. Staff were helpful, parking was plentiful, the breakfast buffet had a good selection of hot and cold choices. The rooms are not large but clean, comfortable and quiet. The gardens are lovely.

We upgraded and stayed in a room in Gresham House in the hotel grounds. Beautiful decor and a roll top bath with a separate shower made it special. Quiet. Comfortable. Very clean. Great breakfast. Great location. Not cheap but nothing to criticise.

The hostel felt clean, safe and was very well located for a family trip to Cambridge. We were travelling with 3 children (11 and younger) and it met all of our needs. The kids loved the bunk beds too :)
