Situated in Amble, within 16 km of Alnwick Castle and 38 km of Bamburgh Castle, Radcliffes Lodge features accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests... The whole place. It was set up really well and the staff were amazing.

Set within 43 km of St James' Park and 44 km of Newcastle Train Station, Newbrough Bunkhouse offers rooms in Hexham. Nice and clean place in the peaceful country side close to Hexham and some of the main sights along Hadrian's Wall. Nick was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. It was a quiet week so had the whole place to myself, but everything I needed was at the hostel/bunkhouse. Basic breakfast available for a cheap price, good WiFi, beautiful nature surroundings and quiet so I could get a good night's sleep. Good budget accommodation to stay for a few nights. Hexham is a 17 minutes drive with bus, the bus came only every second hour, but was always on time, so getting back and forth was relatively easy.

It’s immense common area and the fact that there is a quiet room as well, let alone that it’s a former church or seems like one

This YHA hostel is set in a beautifully converted 240-year-old former granary. This Grade II listed building offers self-catering accommodation with private bathrooms and an art gallery. We could leave our bikes in the bike shed for the day, even after we checked out, that was very nice, thank you again! :) The staff was very nice and helpful and it was a warm and cozy place. The vegan cake was also great!
