Comfortable, central, and very clean. The staff were also all so sweet, asking if I liked the hostel, if I thought it was clean, etc. Kitchen is well stocked and they sell kombucha too!

Hostal The Friends is situated in Panajachel, 47 km from Volcano Atitlan, and provides free WiFi throughout the property. Friendly staff! Lovely and clean and quiet rooms! Sweet courtyard to hang out in! Perfect location! What's not to love? I wish I could have stayed here longer.

Located in San Pedro La Laguna, 24 km from Volcano Atitlan, Gran Colibrí provides accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. I LOVED THIS HOSTEL SO MUCH!! I ended up extending my stay and cancelling my other hostel because I loved this one so much. Everyone sleeps in either tents or tipis, but they also have single private rooms too i believe. I booked a tent and it was a very affordable price and amazing because it was like having my own private room. I had so much privacy. The location is right on the lake which provides beautiful views. They have plenty of seating / lounging areas around the property, lots of hammocks, benches, tables & chairs. In the main building they have a bar, pool table, ping pong table, and TV. Hot water in the showers. Breakfast in the morning consisted of fresh fruit, bread, cofeee and a hard boiled egg. They had a kitchen communal kitchen with plenty of fridge space and cookware. Free purified water for guests. An outdoor fire pit area which was great in the evenings.

Located in San Pedro La Laguna, 24 km from Volcano Atitlan, Hotel Villa del Lago features views of the mountain. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. This is the third time I've stayed with Villa Del Lago and have to say the staff is always kind. They are helpful every step of the way and make you feel special by remembering you. The locaiton is ideal for walking anywhere witin San Pedro la Laguna. Rooms are simple per usual with family-owned hotels around the Lake, but very clean and tastefully decorated. The views from the rooftop were incredible and offered unmatched sunset views. We also had a great view of the Lake from our corner room!

Mandalas Hostal is situated in San Pedro La Laguna and has a terrace. Free WiFi is featured. A kitchen with everything you need and a dining area. I had a very chill stay here. It’s near the party hostel so you can definitely hear music until around midnight but it didn’t personally bother me. They have a well equipped kitchen that most people stay here use so it was also easy to meet other travellers. The rooftop terrace was a cozy place to hang out and eat breakfast with a view. I used the laundry service which was same day service.

Set in Panajachel, Solola region, Dreamboat Hostel is situated 47 km from Volcano Atitlan. Fairly modern hostel in an excellent location with clubs, restaurants and the lake easily reachable on foot. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home, the services offered are also excellent. Comfortable beds and the presence of curtains that guarantee privacy when sleeping is appreciated. I also liked the Hostel party atmosphere, with events and evenings suitable for making new friends and having fun with other guests.

The family of Casa Madera is very sweet, helpful and make this Hostel feel like a home. They have a beautiful little garden and a absolutly wonderful rooftop with hammoks and beds. I wish i could have stayed longer in this beautiful place.

Set in San Juan La Laguna, Solola region, CASA EL ROBLE is located 25 km from Volcano Atitlan. At the hostel, all rooms are fitted with a terrace. Great experience and amazing hospitality. We loved our stay and how amazing the town was. Very awesome and safe.
