This hostel is a 10-minute drive from Keflavík International Airport. It offers breakfast from 03:30 and free Wi-Fi. Facilities include a shared kitchen, TV lounge and terrace.

Start Hostel’s rooms offer simple, modern décor and blackout blinds. Guests can choose between rooms with a private bathroom or dormitory facilities. A communal laundry room is also available. This is my 5th year staying at Start. Perfectly close to airport yet u never hear the airport traffic. Owner and staff are lovely. I travel the country but always make a point to stay here 1st night. Sets the tone for my vacay. Delish breakfast, exceptionally clean and comfortable hotel. Always a charming and delightful stay.

    Great location close to the airport. Also right next to Gardur lighthouse which is a lovely spot for looking for Northern Lights. Rooms were clean and comfortable and as we had an early check out with our flight times the staff kindly made us a packed breakfast to take away.

    Very close to the airport, however taxi fair was still approx 2500 Isk. However the desk staff will organise it for you and where possible, merge your booking with another to save prices. Probably the best Hostel I stayed in while in Iceland, and was a nice way to finish the holiday.
